Hitched Recap
What a crazy week it’s been. I’ve been getting a great response on the new blog/shop. So THANK YOU everyone! I’m really excited to share with you what’s on my list of “to-do’s” for the next couple of weeks/months… I’ve been taking it one day at a time. There is just so much to learn and take in… So If you have any advice for little ol’ me, I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR IT!

Anyway, I’ve put it off for as long as I could, but I think now is a good time to do a recap of the Hitched Event that happened last week Sunday at the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs. You might have read before that I was so excited to attend this event. If you don’t know what it is, well basically, as the picture above says, it is a “RAD WEDDING SHOWCASE” and it really was! Now, let me preface this post with a disclaimer that I am NOT getting married :) I think being with Bren that evening {my good sport of a bf}, everyone assumed that we were engaged… but no, I’m just the weirdo that likes all things wedding apparently. Haha. But in all seriousness, I’m a huge advocate of art + design {and all forms of it} and a wedding is just another blank canvas that certain artists use as their medium. I just happen to be a big fan of it.
As for Hitched itself, the event was amazing. Going in, I already knew my favorite event designers, photographers and bloggers were going to be there. So I was anxious to see their work first hand and in-person. The event was held inside the space within the hotel called the “Commune” which is a 3,000 square feet area, in which couples can opt to use for their wedding and reception. It’s extremely intimate in a sense that it is quite secluded from the rest of the hotel because it is gated off for just you and your guests. My favorite aspect of the Commune is that their walls/doors open up towards the grass area and pool which gives the space an even more grand and inviting feeling. The night was well put together. I loved seeing the photographers in action, moving around inside the space, capturing all the exciting moments. There were a few examples of tablescapes designed by some of my faves in the industry. They were all so different and it catered to everyone’s unique taste and style. The food that was provided was really yummy! Tray passed goodies, now that’s what I’m talking about! Where else would you get PBR in a bag, champagne in a can, a grilled cheese station, sliders, popcorn, hot tamales and MORE? All complimentary from Kings Highway in the Ace. There was just so many fun and exciting vendors all in one space; I was just lucky enough to be apart of a great night!
Anyway, enough with the serious talk, let the pictures do the rest of the talking…

Anyone else attend Hitched? Any thoughts from the night?
