Last year, back in February, B & I went to Palm Springs to visit and attend HITCHED (a wedding showcase full of awesomeness!). I fell in love with the atmosphere and the overflow of crazy talented industry peeps (photographers, designers, everything!) – It’s kind of like a bridal bazaar but on a whole ‘nother level. We had a great time to say the least. Amazing location (The Ace Hotel), fun food (tamales from a cart, anyone?), and the most unique wedding décor on this planet! With that being said, I was itching to go again…

Summer finally rolls around and they announced their new location & a BRAND NEW NAME. The Cream Event was coming to Austin, TX in January 2012! I didn’t think twice. I wanted to go. B was excited, too. We both love to travel & after hearing so many great things about Austin, I mentally ingrained this upcoming trip into my head. As the months flew by, I started to think of our impending trip (looking at flights, hotels, etc.) Brendon on the other hand had a change of heart. WTF!?@#$@!#$– And so I begged, pleaded and told him I’d pay for EVERYTHING! But he did not budge one bit. That son of a… :(

And so the hopes of Austin, Texas and attending The Cream event vanished before my very eyes…

Fast forward to Christmas Eve – B wakes me up at approximately 6:21am. “I know you’re going to hate me and all… but you’re gonna have to trust me.” He then leads me to our living room. Waiting for me on the couch was a box. An early Christmas present? Oh, you know it! Upon opening the box, I was greeted with tickets to THE CREAM EVENT in Austin, ALL PAID FOR FLIGHTS & HOTEL RESERVATIONS. Ok, seriously? I totally scored on the best guy ever!!
“This year is going to be better than last year…” He says.
“Why’s that?”
“Because last year we went as boyfriend and girlfriend…”
Right then and there I knew what he was trying to say. He pursued to get down on one knee (this part I don’t even remember because I was crying hysterically). He said some mumbo jumbo how he wants to marry me (kidding)… And after freaking out, I somehow managed to say “YES!”
It was the greatest Christmas present a girl could as for – Whatta guy :)

With that being said, we’re flying to Austin tomorrow AM to attend THE CREAM EVENT on Sunday! We have a list full of adventures to partake in (BBQ galore, sightseeing, and absorbing as much wedding ideas as possible). So brace yourself for ample amounts of goodies on the blog upon my return.
Be good everyone! Stay dry California!

Photo Days
This past Saturday, I styled & photographed my first inspiration shoot with the help of my lovely intern Courtney of course! I think I was little in over my head though as I didn’t realize how much work & time actually goes into it. But in the end, I think it turned out really well. I’m really excited to edit the photos & share them with you all. Until then, here’s a little teaser of what’s to come…

Glitter + desserts! Now, if that doesn’t scream party, then I don’t know what does ;)
TRIPPIN – PART 1
I have been feeling a bit nostalgic as of late & decided to flip through a few of my photos from the past year or so — It’s fun to remember where you’ve been, what you’ve gone through & the people you were surrounded with. For me, traveling to these little cities over the past couple of years has been a dream. PRAISE GOD that I finally have the time (and money, haha) to even do so! I hope that this is only the beginning of what could be… to eventually see & walk every inch of the world… I just hope my bank account could handle it :P
& if you don’t mind, here are a few flicks I took to help me relive my favorite little moments. Enjoy!

More of my other travels soon! What’s your favorite city you’ve been to?

I had quite a busy Memorial’s Day weekend, filled with Birthdays, Graduation Parties and BBQ’s — But one thing my weekend had in common was the non-shortage of kids everywhere! It’s so fun watching children grow and evolve into these little human people, as I’d like to call it… and boy, do they all have such personalities! :)
Mia’s 1st Birthday was polka dot themed & perfect – She’s so precious & super sweet and I couldn’t keep my eyes off her. Jane, you have a beautiful niece and a beautiful family! Thank you for having me :)

Dane is Brendon’s nephew — He just turned 3 years old and he is a riot! I have no idea where he gets his energy from, but he cracks me up like no tomorrow. Can you guess the theme of his party? :)

Of course I couldn’t end the long weekend without spending time with my very own niece and nephews. It was such a beautiful day on Monday and they didn’t spare any second to get wild on the slip ‘n slide. Catch them in action:

Last but not least, baby Justice is the newest addition to my family & he’s so yummy! I can’t stop pinching his rolls. Chubby babies will do that to you, right?

Whether you have your own kids, or borrow them from your friends or relatives (haha), they are so awesome! Life would be so boring without them, don’t you agree? ;)
